VISTA: Show a color Shining ruby, bright, medium-low intensity, with violet hues that speak of youth and freshness.
NOSE: Expressive and very direct, the kind that greet you with an explosion of fresh red fruit, cherry and raspberry, mixed with subtle floral notes and a very pleasant spicy touch. There is a mineral sensation reminiscent of quartz and damp earth.
BOCA: Light but with spirit Lively acidity, fine and barely perceptible tannins, medium-light body, and a delightful tension that invites drinking. It feels clean, forthright, fresh, and has a finish that leaves pure fruit and a very elegant herbal touch.
OCTOPUS LEG The minerality of the wine enhances the smokiness of the octopus, and the acidity complements the texture, refreshing each bite.
Grilled Vegetables Its natural sweetness pairs with the red fruit of the wine, and the acidic tension prevents the roasted vegetables from feeling heavy or cloying.
Entraña The juiciness of the cut and its ideal grilling point perfectly embrace the fresh red fruit of the wine. The acidity cleanses the palate and allows for continued enjoyment without heaviness.
EMPTY Its fiber and deep flavor find balance in a medium-bodied red with a soft tannin. The wine's freshness lifts the dish and prevents it from being heavy.
SEARED BEEF TATAKI The crisp fruit and high acidity enhance the flavor of the tataki and balance the toastiness without overpowering the meat's tenderness.
SALMON: The salmon, with its natural fat, is perfectly balanced by the lively acidity of the wine. The red fruit provides contrast, and the lightness of the Motorpsico prevents the dish from feeling heavy.
Motorpsico 2022 is born from old head-trained vines, over 100 years old, spread throughout the villages of San Lorenzo, Priaranza, and Toral del Merayo. Soils of clay and quartz, a mosaic of exhibitions (North, East, and West) and organic agriculture that maximizes respect for the character of El Bierzo.
The winemaking maintains that pure philosophy: spontaneous fermentation, 20%% whole cluster to gain freshness, short maceration to avoid harshness, and a one-year aging split between wooden sinks y stainless steel, seeking to preserve all the fruit without losing structure.
2022 was an early, warm, and dry vintage, producing wines that were expressive, noble, and very sincere from the very first glass. Motorpsico is the fresher, juicier, and most enjoyable side of Michelini i Mufatto in Bierzo.
