Valle Rupestre, Salta, Argentina
From the highest point of the Calchaquí Valley, in the heart of the Rupestrian Valley, this high-altitude Cabernet Sauvignon is born, crafted as a tribute to Leonor Molina, the mother of the family and a symbol of strength and elegance. A wine that authentically expresses the extreme character of northern Argentina and the artisanal dedication of a family winery.
Produced from grapes grown at 2,200 meters above sea level, in soils alluvial, sandy-loam with stones at depth, this wine reflects the essence of the Salta terroir. The vineyard, irrigated by Meltwater runoff, delivers a fruit of unique concentration and freshness. The hand-harvesting, packed in 16 kg boxes during the first week of April, ensures careful selection of each bunch.
Fermentation is carried out with Native yeasts in concrete deposits, with a 20-day maceration that allows for slow and delicate extraction. The wine rests for 12 months in first-use French oak barrels, achieving exceptional complexity and elegance.
The result is a Cabernet with an intense and refined profile, with notes of ripe black fruit, spices, and a mineral background that speaks of the landscape. On the palate, it shows firm but polished tannins, good structure, and a long, persistent finish.
