Produced by the historic family winery Celler Cal Pla, with roots dating back to 1814 in the small town of Porrera. This red is born from young vines planted on slate terraces (llicorella) at an altitude of 450 meters, which give the wine its distinctive mineral character.
The harvest is done manually in early October. After maceration with the skins, the must ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature to preserve the fruity profile. Subsequently, the wine is aged for 12 months in second-use barrels, mostly French oak (60%) and American oak (40%).
