Tomás Esteban was born from very selected vineyards —El Abuelo, Miguelón, and Matallana— where Tinta del País is expressed with a unique intensity.
Clayey-calcareous soils with sand, very low yields, and meticulous vineyard work mark the origin of this wine. The challenging 2017 vintage resulted in more concentrated, deep, and expressive grapes.
Fermentation is spontaneous, without any artificial aids, in large volume vats. Malolactic fermentation is carried out in barrels, integrating the wine's structure from the beginning.
Then comes the time: 30 months in new French oak (100%). Here, the wine is built, refined, and finds its balance.
