Albahra is born in Villamalea, in Castilla-La Mancha, from old Garnacha Tintorera vines cultivated on chalky and clay soils. An austere, dry landscape, where the vine suffers and expresses itself with authenticity.
The harvest is manual and the winemaking seeks purity and freshness: moderate macerations, fermentation with indigenous yeasts in tanks concrete and a Minimal intervention that respects the character of the vineyard.
Aging takes place over several months on its lees in concrete, refining the texture without marking the wine with wood and keeping the grape's identity intact.
