World's End - Napa Valley
By Jonathan Maltus, OBE

A Californian symphony with a Bordeaux soul:

Developed by the visionary British winemaker Jonathan Maltus, The OBE was awarded the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to viticulture, If Six Was Nine is a Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley with a resounding personality. Its name pays homage to the Jimi Hendrix song, reflecting Maltus' passion for rock and its innovative approach to winemaking.

This wine represents the fusion of the Bordeaux style with the Californian character, harmonizing the power of the Cabernet Sauvignon (75%) with the softness of Merlot (15%) and the freshness of the Cabernet Franc (10%).

Its origin comes from a schoice of vineyards in Rutherford, Coombsville, Angwin, Atlas Peak and Carneros (for Merlot).

Vinification: Inspired by the traditional French method. A rigorous selection is made berry by berry, followed by cold maceration before fermentation. Aging is carried out in new and second-use French oak barrels, where malolactic fermentation also takes place.

A classic Cabernet Sauvignon, powerful and polished, representing California soul with old world refinement.

Note: Jonathan Maltus is recognized for his innovative approach to winemaking in both Bordeaux and Napa Valley. Its commitment to quality and the expression of terroir has led its wines to receive international acclaim.
