Castello di Brolio 2018 – Chianti Classico DOCG

A trip to the heart of Tuscany

In the ancient hills surrounding the Brolio Castle, in the historic area of Chianti Classico, a Sangiovese is born, which has forged the legend of Tuscan wines: the Castello di Brolio 2018 of Barone Ricasoli. Here, at altitudes between 350 and 450 m, the vineyards are set on soils of galestro y Albariza, which drain efficiently and lend the wine its unmistakable minerality and vibrant rhythm.

The harvest, entirely manual, collects clusters at their optimal point of ripeness in small 20 kg crates, ensuring each grape retains its freshness and character. In the cellar, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, where gentle pump-overs delicately extract the finest nuances of the Sangiovese. The subsequent malolactic fermentation in concrete preserves the natural acidity that gives the wine its energy and longevity.

The aging from 12 months in French oak barrels on second and third use grants to the Castello di Brolio 2018a silky texture, while enhancing its spicy and earthy aromas without detracting from the varietal. Bottled with minimal intervention, it maintains the stamp of its origin intact and respects the vision of sustainability and respect for the environment that has guided Ricasoli for eight centuries.

More than a wine, the Castello di Brolio 2018 It's an experience: from the story of its centuries-old slopes to every sip that evokes the harmony of climate, soil, and tradition.
